Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement data management strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure effective data governance and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Design and maintain data models, dictionaries, and metadata repositories to facilitate data understanding and access across the organization.
- Oversee data quality assessment and improvement initiatives, including data profiling, cleansing, and enrichment.
- Collaborate with IT teams to design and implement data storage, integration, and retrieval solutions, leveraging industry best practices and technologies.
- Lead efforts to establish and maintain data security and privacy controls, including access controls, encryption, and data masking.
- Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure and report on data quality, integrity, and availability.
- Provide guidance and support to business units on data management best practices, data usage, and interpretation.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and regulatory requirements in data management and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Lead and mentor junior members of the data management team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Proven experience (5 years) in data management, data governance, or related roles, with a focus on data quality, integration, and security.
- Strong understanding of data management principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Proficiency in Cloudera (Impala or Hue) SQL, Macro/VBA, Python.
- Experience with data integration technologies, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Having knowledge in Banking or willing to work in Banking.
