- Education: Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Economics, Business Management, or related field. Master’s degree in Business Management or MBA will be a plus.
- Professional Certifications: Certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) for project management and oil and gas industry related certifications such as IWCF or specialized certifications in business negotiation and strategic planning.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry, with at least 7 years in a senior position in business development.
- In-depth knowledge of oil and gas industry dynamics, including global trends in energy prices, demand and supply, and technological developments affecting the energy sector.
- High-level negotiation skills to secure new projects in both upstream and downstream sectors, as well as to manage relationships with strategic partners, governments and investors.
- Strong interpersonal skills to work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, including governments, investors, and business partners.
- Understanding of future energy trends such as the energy transition from oil to natural gas and renewable energy, as well as investment opportunities in renewable energy (such as wind, solar, and hydrogen).
- Strong communication skills to deliver strategic plans, business proposals and development reports to the board, investors and other stakeholders.
- Experience in presenting business plans and expansion strategies to various parties, including international and national partners, and the ability to establish trust and long-term partnerships.
