Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, and implement a centralized data architecture to integrate data from multiple sources (e.g., POS systems, inventory management, customer databases, and sales records).
- Create and maintain data pipelines to ensure data consistency, accuracy, and availability for business intelligence and reporting.
- Work closely with the operations and finance teams to understand data needs and design systems that meet business requirements.
- Develop ETL processes to automate the extraction, transformation, and loading of data from various sources into a centralized data repository.
- Ensure data quality and integrity through rigorous testing, validation, and error-handling procedures.
- Implement data security measures to protect sensitive information and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for data-related issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Collaborate with third-party vendors or consultants as needed to integrate external data sources or tools.
- Generate and maintain comprehensive documentation for data systems, pipelines, and processes.
Qualification :
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimal 2 years relevant experience.
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role, preferably in the retail industry.
- Strong knowledge of data modelling, database design, and data warehousing concepts.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar.
- Familiarity with ETL tools and processes, with experience in building custom ETL pipelines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business terms.
