Qualifications & experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- Proven work experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role. Strong understanding of cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator) are a plus.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain our cloud infrastructure, including multi-cloud environments.
- Implement and manage cloud-based applications and services, ensuring high availability, fault tolerance, and scalability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop cloud-based solutions that align with business needs and objectives.
- Monitor and optimize the performance of our cloud infrastructure and applications.
- Develop and implement security measures to protect our cloud-based systems and data.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to the cloud infrastructure and applications.
- Stay up to date with the latest trends and developments in cloud technologies and recommend improvements to our infrastructure and processes.
