Principal IoT Researcher
Your daily routine will be:
- Lead and actively participate in the design, development, and implementation of IoT solutions within eFishery’s aquaculture technology portfolio.
- Conduct comprehensive research to identify emerging IoT technologies, trends, and best practices relevant to aquaculture and mechatronic devices.
- Collaborate closely with the Engineering Manager and Lead IoT teams to define technical requirements and ensure alignment with strategic goals.
- Design and prototype IoT systems, hardware components, sensors, and firmware to enhance fish farming operations’ efficiency and sustainability
- Develop and implement innovative algorithms and protocols for data acquisition, communication, and analysis in IoT-enabled devices.
- Work closely with the Product Management team to translate market requirements into technical specifications for IoT-enabled products.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and researchers within the IoT R&D team.
- Stay up-to-date with industry standards, regulations, and advancements in IoT technology to ensure compliance and competitiveness.
- Contribute to patent applications, publications, and technical documentation to enrich eFishery’s intellectual property portfolio.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate IoT solutions seamlessly into the broader aquaculture technology ecosystem.
You’ll excel it if you:
- Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- A minimum of 5-7 years of hands-on experience in IoT research and development, with a strong focus on hardware, firmware, and sensor integration.
- Proven track record of contributing to the development of innovative IoT solutions, demonstrated through patents, publications, or impactful projects.
- Expertise in IoT protocols and technologies, including wireless communication, sensor networks, embedded systems, and data analytics.
- Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in IoT development, such as C/C++, Python, and Java.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical challenges.
- Solid understanding of aquaculture technology, mechatronic devices, or related fields is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and convey complex technical concepts.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
- Passion for sustainability and a keen interest in leveraging IoT to enhance aquaculture practices.
