Mechatronics staff’s responsibility are:
- Together with other technical departments (Agronomy, Plant Breeding, Crop Protection, Field Operation, and AI team) to develop preliminary design concept including equipment layout and theory of operations
- Designing, developing and enhancing electro-mechanical systems and mechatronic devices (prototypes) in order to support the precision agriculture, IoT, robotics, and automation and mechanization projects in oil palm upstream
- Develop and maintain engineering drawings
- Creating automated systems and the software to control them.
- Conducting research, documenting findings, and presenting the results
- Together with the AI team, merge/deploy the AI model into the engineering system
With qualifications:
- Minimum Bachelor Degree in mechatronics or automation engineering or in related discipline. Master Degree is a plus.
- Able to communicate in English both oral and writing
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in Project Engineering of automation systems, IoT, instrumentation and control is essential
- Skill (s): robotics exposure, engineering, electronics and programming
- Mastery of one programming language: C, Java, .Net, Python.
- Knowledge in mechanical design and automation systems
- Familiarity with machine learning Engineering (MLOps) concept is preferable
- Have knowledge in automation and instrumentation
- Ability to work in a team or alone
- Working knowledge of electronic circuits, sensors, and actuators
- Knowledge of computer hardware and software design and applications
